The Autoimmune Disease Institute’s main goal is to advance and support biological research in Oklahoma. Major components of this goal are mentoring and supporting investigators performing research that focuses on understanding mechanisms of autoimmune disease, identifying potential targets for directed treatment options, and understanding immune responses to infection and vaccination.
The various grants held by members of the Autoimmune Disease Institute and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Arthritis and Clinical Immunology Program offer core facilities, pilot project funding, and strong mentoring programs to enhance the career development of clinical and basic science investigators.
